Maintenance free timber window profiles
The profile's outside is protected against harmful weather influence by a high-tech decorative and well-tested foil.
Advantages: Inside aesthetic, comfortable and healthy living with natural timber, outside: no more painting!
Gasket: central gasket not subject to weathering all around the sash. A second gasket is fitted in the sash's rebate. Both gaskets can be changed
Surface treatment:
- smoothly planed and profiled
- impregnated against fungi
- the PVC-foil on the outside is protected by another layer of a clear foil which can be removed once the window has been fitted. It is therefore possible to spray the profiles as they are protected by this layer of clear foil against overspray or dirt
- available with a clear coat (Soft Finish) on the inside
The specially engineered mitre joint guarantees:
- the corner joints' stability is based on three pillars: oak dowels, "Hoffmann"-dovetail, screws
- the mitre joint is kept dry by a High Tech nanoparticle spray and a specially developed polyurethane glue

Species:
- Spruce - All quarter/half-quarter sawn (vertical year rings prevent the timber from cracking and worping)
- Quality sorting according to Holz Schiller's standards
- lengths: 6 m bars
- smooth surface look due to distances between finger-joints of 100 cm + on the insid - moisture content: 13 % + /- 2 %
lamination:
- 5-ply lamination according to German window institute ift for frame, sash and mullion
- 6-ply lamination according to German window institute ift for transome, bottom frame. Both profiles are available with a layer of "Purenit", a composite material which does not rot and insulates very well.
The window system has been tested for:
- resistance against driving rain -
- resistance against wind
- air permeability
- structural integrity
- mitre joints tested according to ift rules
- the foil is glued on the timber profiles according to ift-institute rules
