Fred Duncombe Limited is the UK manufacturer of the Exidor 700 series heavy-duty security system. The company is ISO 9002 accredited and has over 60 years of manufacturing experience.
The heavy-duty security range is designed for both steel and timber security doors. The range combines the requirements of safety, security and fire with the functions of an emergency-exit device, that also defends against a high degree of force and abuse from an outside attack.
The units are surface mounted and available with a cross bar or lever handle, either 19 or 30mm bolt throws and with a two, three or four point locking.
The range also includes a security locking box to secure the hardware when a building is vacant. To satisfy fire officers, units can be linked to a monitoring system, and supplied with an indicator to identify when they are locked and unlocked.
Also included in the range are heavy-duty tower bolts, which may be used to secure the inactive leaf of a pair of rebated double doors. Composition and manufacture
The 700 series heavy-duty security system’s main body is manufactured from stainless steel, with strong steel components for strength, and steel shoot bolts. Appearance
The hardware is finished in epoxy powder-coated Grey for hardwearing protection. Stainless-steel and other RAL finishes are available on request. Performance
The 700 series heavy-duty panic bolts carry the CE mark for safety and conform to BS EN 179 and BS EN 1125. The range has also been fire rated to BS EN 1634-1:2000, and tested successfully to security test LPS 1175. Sitework
