Timber only window profiles
LongLife timber window profiles have been double pressure impregnated protecting them thoroughly. They form a high quality but inexpensive timber window in a new design.
The profiles are available in different species, e.g. spruce, pine, larch and oak. The distances between finger-joints vary between 20 and 50 cm.
PROFILE DESCRIPTION
Species:
- Spruce, pine, larch, oak. All quarter/half-quarter sawn (vertical year rings prevent the timber from cracking and worping)
- Quality sorting according to Holz Schiller's standards
- lengths: 6 m bars
- moisture content: 13 % +1- 2 %
lamination:
- 3 layered structure according to the German timber window specialists ift in Rosenheim for frame, sash, mullion, transome. Bottom frame and transome also available with a composite material "Purenit" that prevents the water exposed areas from rotting
The window system has been tested for: :
- resistance against driving rain
- resistance against wind
- air permeability
- structural integrity
- mitre joints tested according to ift rules
Design:
- based on DIN 68 121: Double rebate, rounded edges, corner joint done in a mitre system
The specially engineered mitre joint guarantees:
- the corner joints' stability is based on three pillars: oak dowels, "Hoffmann"-dovetail, screws
- the mitre joint is kept dry by a High Tech nanoparticle spray and a specially developed polyurethane glue

- smoothly planed and profiled
